A twiddle about Me :)

Hi Everyone!  This is about to become your new favorite blog.  I'll be posting often if not daily, showing off my cute outfits and where exactly to get them, spotlighting items of the day and how to style it, showcasing my amazing closet organization skills (fitting a LOT into a LITTLE space), and I'll also be covering fashion at the events I go to!  This is a blog for the everyday girl who obesses over everything in the magazines but can't afford couple-hundred dollar jeans and thousand dollar sell-your-first=born-worthy bags.  I'll tell you where to get what you want at the best price and how to fit it into your outfit/closet!  Here's a little blurb on my how my longtime monogamous and sometimes romantic relationship with fashion began:

Obsessed with fashion to the point of selling furniture and musical instruments to aquire the item my heart desired. I began readin Vogue at age 9, right at the height of the Supermodel, obessing over Chrity Turlington, Claudia Shiffer, and Cindy Crawford.  A candy-colored tweed Chanel suit was my must have by age 11.  Yves Saint Laurant's amythest color peasent blouse inspired each trip to the mall.  I read every catalogue cover to cover,  and I'd trace the models and outfits. Began drawing and designing my own items around age 5. (Still have the drawings-hilarious, yet chic!!) Began wearing vintage before age 10, including my mom's bridesmaid dresses and nightgowns from the 70s. Then came the grunge phase when I raided my dad's bell bottom cords, terrycloth and velor polos, and bowling shoes. Highschool brough upon a fierce hippie phase, where I reverted back to my mom's flourescent floral polyester gowns. College inspired a '50's asthetic, and I carried structured straw bags with bakelite handels, and wore peplum skirts and cashmere beaded cardigans on the daily.  I had a very Banana/Tory/DVF phase when I got my first professional job, and the best tailored Theory slacks were my prized posession.  Now that I live at the beach, tie-dye silks dresses are like a drug, and gauzy breezy hippie chic moomoos with vintage leather hurrachas have become my staple. I didn't even cover jewelry.

I also love vintage furniture and have salvaged and refinished just about everything in my posession. From re-upholstering ottomons to buying '80's coated dressers that I sand down, paint, and shappy chic the heck out of, I've done it all.
